Leadership Team
The members of the Leadership Team provide assistance to the Master Instructors as directed, and they give help, guidance and direction to other students. 
Benefits you will receive from being on the Leadership Team:

  • You will be teaching which will build your self-confidence. 
  • Teaching will build your own skills and knowledge in taekwondo which will help you achieve your goals in taekwondo quicker and with more confidence. 
  • You will develop more patience with others as well as develop courage to lead in taekwondo, school and other outside activities. 
  • This opportunity will allow you to count it as your community service for your church or school. (Please note that your required teaching will not be counted as community service.) 
Rules and Duties Guidelines
  • You must be a green belt and train at least three hours a week. 
  • Be on time to class and your scheduled teaching session. 
  • If you cannot make your teaching session due to illness or any other reason it is your responsibility to inform a Master Instructor.
  • Be sure to be patient and kind to all students. 
  • Must be prepared to participate in demonstrations, fundraisers, and activities. 
  • When speaking to children, be sure to speak to their level. 
  • It is your responsibility to work with younger students or new students if they arrive early on stretching or requirements. Keep it safe, no horsing around. 
  • You may take a child to the restroom, but may not assist in the stall. 
  • Any PROBLEMS please direct the person to a Master Instructor. Do not try to answer anything that you do not know for sure. 
  • Always have high energy and enthusiasm with the KickFit Kids. 
  • Always come prepared in proper uniform and have portfolios with you. 
  • When new students come to Taekwondo or KickFit Kids it is your responsibility to teach them how to tie their belt, and all of the protocol and rules of being a martial artist. 

  • Consistency in training minimum 3 sessions per week. (No Exceptions) A leader must keep up their own training in order to be a good leader or perform. 
  • Must be a Green Belt. 
  • Demonstrating good work ethic by working hard in class. 
  • Demonstrating good leadership skills by helping others, new students and assist in all activities of the Academy. 
  • Demonstrating leadership skills inside and outside the training area by representing the tenets of Taekwondo. 
  • Demonstrating leadership skills by maintaining high academic standards of C's and above. 
  • Must assist in Tyke or Children's classes 2 times a month. This does not count as your required teaching for your rank. 
  • Must fulfill your required teaching requirements for your rank. 
  • Red belts and below must prepare a musical form and self-defense routine. You must keep it ready for demonstrations. 
  • Black belts must create a musical form, musical or creative bo-staff routine and creative self-defense routine. You must keep it ready for demonstrations. 
  • Willingness to come before class or stay after class to practice for demonstrations. 
  • Must be willing to come to Demonstration practices when scheduled. 
  • Must be willing to participate in Demonstrations, tournaments and fund-raisers to promote and share Taekwondo with others.
